Kuomboka ceremony, Western Province

The journey

Not a show for visitors. A chiefdom’s living history.

Zambia’s calendar holds more than twenty traditional ceremonies a year, each a living expression of a specific chiefdom’s history. We build this journey around the two with the most reliable visitor access and the deepest local relationships — Kuomboka and Nc’wala.

Every departure is run with a local specialist guide whose role is as much about protocol as logistics: where to stand, when to be silent, and what the moment in front of you means to the people living it.

  • Local specialist guide throughout
  • Cultural and etiquette briefing
  • Heritage-site context day
  • Transport to and from the viewing area
